Football Registration: $350.00


The price includes one jersey, game socks, practice gear,  and gear that needs to be returned at end of the season (helmet, shoulder pads, pants, belt, chin strap and equipment bag)

*Early registration and Paid in Full by June 1, 2023, will receive a $25.00 credit to fan fare/spirit pack.

Cheer Registration:  $350.00

  
The price includes: Regular football activities, camp wear,  3 bows,
2-day mandatory Day Camp. League Competition and an end of season party 
Additional cheer uniform pieces are additional and mandatory.

Once you have completed the online registration portion, incremental payments can be made online, via Venmo or you can make a payment at any of the Sunday Camp dates. Please note that you can also raise money to offset the cost of your registration. Details and arrangements can be made at any one of the camp dates and times. Practices don't start until July. There is an online payment link (fees apply) and DCJC accepts Venmo as well as Zelle. All deposits and fees will need to be paid prior to the start of the season. DCJC will only accept cash, money order, credit and/or debit cards (a 3% fee will be added for use of cards) for the 2022 season. No personal checks will be accepted. 

**Cost of registration covers administrative fees, operation cost, upgrades, maintenance, re-certification of equipment and replacement, insurance, game days, uniform replacement, filing fees, facility usage usage fees, video services, field lining, trophies, medals, special events, USA fees, SYF fees, SYF compliance of mandatory background checks of all board members, committee members, and coaches. DCJC board and committee members receive no monetary compensation with the exception of a $50.00 discount towards registration fees. DCJC is a 100% volunteer program. DCJC is a non-for-profit organization. The men and women comprised of the DCJC board, committees, and their families have committed themselves and time to you, your children, and the community.  


UNIFORMS THIS YEAR

The uniform includes a shell, skirt , liner, briefs, shoes, bows, AND Warms- ups are part of the uniform and are not included in the above price estimate.

ESTIMATED TOTAL COST OF REGISTRATION AND MANDATORY UNIFORM $650.00.

Uniform payment will be due at the time of the fitting and will be payable directly to the vendor, Uniforms ordered after the fitting date may result in additional fees AND NOT GUARANTEED TO ARRIVE BEFORE FIRST GAME OF SEASON

Parent Deposit:  $200


All parents/guardians are required to pay a $200.00 parent volunteer deposit. The deposit shall be returned at the season year-end party if all parent hours are completed. You may also opt-out of your parent volunteer obligations for the year. The cost of the opt-out is $200.00.


Equipment Deposit $150** Football ONLY


All parents/guardians are required to pay a $150.00 equipment deposit. The deposit shall be returned after the season year-end party and upon receipt of all equipment being returned.

You are not able to opt-out of this cost.



Fundraising Deposit $50


All parents/guardians will also be required to pay a $50.00 mandatory fundraising deposit. Sell 5 Raffle Tickets for $10 each to make your Fundraiser Deposit back. Additional tickets can be purchased/sold to increase odds of winning.

Competition Season Fees (Optional):  **TBD**


Competition season typically runs from November to March. With a paid fee, you will be able to compete at 2-3  Cheer Competitions to qualify for Nationals. Entrance fees will be included, along with a sweatshirt and hair bow. 

During competition season you will incur additional spectator fees and travel costs.

​Mission Statement 


We are training the next generation of football players, cheerleaders, and mascots. We strive to teach skills, integrity, team work, self discipline, leadership, and good sportsmanship. We teach proper hitting and tackling techniques - with an emphasis on safety.


​DC Jr. Cougars is a non-profit organization organized for the charitable and educational purposes of:


(a) To instill permanently in the youth of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, discipline, self respect and respect for authority and others so that they may become well adjusted, stronger and happier young people who will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.


(b) To familiarize players with the fundamentals of Tackle Football AND Cheer leading, to provide an opportunity to play the game in a supervised, organized and safety-oriented manner and to keep the welfare of participants free of any adult ambitions and personal glory.

Sacramento Youth Football


Sacramento Youth Football (“SYF”) is a privately organized league, the purpose of which is to, among other things, facilitate, manage, and establish bylaws, rules, guidelines, conferences and divisions for youth football and cheer associations/clubs and their teams in the greater Sacramento area. DCJC is part of the SYF league.

CONCUSSION AWARENESS


Education is the first step to help players lessen the chance for concussion.


Coaches and parents should know what to look for on and off the field and encourage everyone to learn the signs and symptoms of concussion. Topics include:
