Is my child guaranteed to play?
DCJC is not a PAR league and do not guarantee play time. Playtime is earned at practice.
Our goal is to have every player participate and play in games, but there is no guarantee.
If the team follows PAR (see below), the goal is a minimum of 5 plays depending on team size. Participants will be rotated in and out the game; it is up to coaches discretion when. This will be regulated each game. Does not pertain to cheer. Please note that if a player misses practice during the week, there is a possibility they may not play.
......................................................................................................................................................................................................................

What is PAR and how does it work?

(How much is my child guaranteed to play?) PAR is: Player Allotment Rules: This is NOT a SYF mandated rule. DCJC tries to have players play a minimum of 5 plays per game depending on how many players certify for that day.  All other teams will no longer have PAR.
PAR does not apply in the playoffs.
......................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Who do I contact if I feel my child did not get his full play?

Please contact your child's coach. Because the player allotment is monitored by volunteers, coaches only know how many plays are remaining by the monitors. Errors do happen. PAR is a fast-paced volunteer position. PAR is not required by SYF, however DCJC has adopted this as part of our program (for 8U team only). Coaches do their best to put your child in the minimum plays. Some kids will play more than others.
......................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Who do I contact if I have a concern?

Please give your coach the respect to resolve any concerns you may have regarding your team. The coach will contact the board if he or she feels they cannot resolve a concern. A meeting can be called to resolve any concerns if need be. Discussing outside a coach or board present violates the parent code of ethics. Violations will be taken seriously and dismissal from the program may occur. You can always contact someone on the board, please see the Contact Us page for their contact information.
